Frequently asked questions

How does scoring on Apple Watch work?

Set up a match on iPhone, choose the first serving team, then tap the large team controls on Apple Watch for each point. Padelly keeps the games, sets, serving information, and selected rules. Read the Apple Watch scoring guide.

Can I undo the wrong point?

Yes. Undo restores the score and serving state, including across game, set, and tie-break boundaries. The history is intentionally bounded to recent scoring actions.

Can I score without an Apple Watch?

Yes. If no Watch is available, choose Start on iPhone instead, select the first serving team, and score with the same rules on your phone.

Which scoring modes are currently available?

The launch presets use Advantage or Golden Point. Star Point is not currently selectable in Padelly’s launch UI, so the website does not present it as an available app mode.

Which match formats are supported?

Padelly currently offers German Club Match, Classic Full Match, Fast Match, Mini Set Match, and Best of 3 Mini Sets. Timed Match and Fixed Rally Points are not launch options. Compare all scoring formats.

Is Apple Fitness tracking required?

No. Fitness tracking is optional. Scoring and match history work when tracking is off, unavailable, or Health permission is denied.

What Health information does Padelly handle?

With permission, Padelly can record a workout and display available heart rate and active energy. It does not store raw Health samples. A small summary such as duration, calories, average heart rate, status, and workout reference may be stored locally with the match.

How does iCloud backup work?

When available and enabled, private iCloud backup can include completed matches, players, backup-safe settings, and the selected app icon. It excludes active matches, Watch live state, and raw Health data. The current backup is designed for one iPhone; multiple iPhones may cause duplicates or conflicts.

Do I need an account?

No. Padelly has no account or login. Player data, match history, and settings stay local unless you choose private iCloud backup.

Which devices does Padelly support?

Padelly is built for iPhone and Apple Watch in this release. If an Apple Watch is unavailable, you can start and score the match on iPhone.
